As a Financial Services Industry Account Executive, you will lead customer engagement and business growth across a portfolio of strategic financial services organizations. You will act as a trusted strategic advisor to executive leaders, helping customers become Frontier Banks and Frontier Insurers by connecting AI, agentic systems, cloud, data, security, productivity, and business applications to their most important business priorities.

You will help customers reimagine customer engagement, risk management, operations, workforce productivity, and innovation. By orchestrating specialists, partners, architects, and customer success teams, you will translate technology innovation into measurable growth, efficiency, customer satisfaction, resilience, and new business models while driving sustainable impact for customers and Microsoft.

Responsibilities

  • Help banking and insurance customers define and execute enterprise AI and agentic transformation strategies, positioning AI agents as a strategic capability for faster, more intelligent, and more efficient operations.
  • Partner with executives to reimagine customer engagement, risk management, operations, workforce productivity, innovation, the future of work, and autonomous business processes through AI-powered experiences.
  • Guide customers on their journey to becoming Frontier Enterprises by identifying opportunities where AI, data, cloud, security, productivity, and business applications create differentiation and intelligent operating models.
  • Build trusted relationships with C-suite, business, and technology decision makers, facilitating alignment on industry disruption, enterprise modernization, AI adoption, and long-term transformation priorities.
  • Develop and execute territory and account strategies that deliver sustainable revenue growth, maintaining a robust pipeline across AI, cloud, security, data, productivity, and business applications.
  • Lead complex deal cycles involving multiple stakeholder groups from business discovery and opportunity creation through executive alignment, commercial strategy, deal progression, and value realization.
  • Orchestrate specialists, partners, architects, customer success teams, and other virtual-team resources to remove barriers, drive consensus, and connect technology investments to measurable customer outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Several years of experience working in a relevant industry such as Financial Services and/or driving digital transformation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or a related field and several years of experience in Financial Services and/or digital transformation, or Master's degree in Business Administration and relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Business fluency in both German and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Several years of experience in account management, enterprise sales, territory management, consulting, or a related customer-facing role, with a record of identifying and closing transformational opportunities.
  • Strong knowledge of financial services, including banking, insurance, risk management, compliance, and customer engagement models, combined with curiosity about emerging AI technologies.
  • Proven ability to influence senior business and technology leaders, navigate complex organizations, build consensus, and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Strong commercial acumen, forecasting, planning, communication, presentation, negotiation, and execution discipline, with the ability to connect technology innovation to business value.

Compensation

In line with Microsoft Austria's Flexible Work approach, the company recommends spending at least two days per week in the office or at the customer site.

Account Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Austria is EUR 82,300.00 - EUR 120,300.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
