Our FIG Origination team within Debt Capital Markets advises banks, insurers and other financial institutions on their funding and capital strategy. With a focus on international issuers in the EUR benchmark market, we originate, structure and execute bond transactions as (joint) lead manager, working hand in hand with syndicate, sales, trading and research.

Your Tasks

• Originate and execute mandates across covered bonds, senior preferred / senior non-preferred, Tier 2 and AT1 / RT1, including ESG bonds
• Build and deepen relationships with treasury and funding teams at international financial institutions, taking responsibility for your coverage portfolio and revenues
• Advise issuers on market timing, pricing, investor strategy and execution, as well as on their funding plans and strategy, MREL and capital requirements, regulatory developments and rating topics
• Execute transactions as (joint) lead manager – whole value chain from obtaining a mandate, preparation, investor marketing through to bookbuilding and pricing, working closely alongside syndicate and all other relevant internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare pitch materials, market updates and relative value analysis, as well as sales memos for our sales teams
• Identify and execute opportunities beyond benchmark issuance, such as private placements, liability management and hedging solutions
• Actively share your expertise with junior colleagues and support their development
• Act in line with all regulatory and compliance requirements, including the handling of inside information

Your Background

• University degree in finance, economics, law or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Substantial experience in FIG DCM origination – or in a closely related role such as FIG syndicate, FIG coverage or a bank's funding team
• A track record of executing EUR benchmark transactions and of advising issuers at senior level
• In-depth knowledge of bank funding and capital instruments, the regulatory framework behind them (CRR/CRD, BRRD/MREL, covered bond legislation) and rating agency methodologies
• Strong analytical and structuring skills and confident use of Bloomberg and the usual DCM data sources
• Clear, persuasive communication and negotiation skills – on paper and in front of clients
• Willingness to travel regularly for client meetings, investor events, conferences and roadshows
• Excellent English, written and spoken. German and other language skills are a strong plus

• For this position, we offer a gross annual salary of approximately EUR 67.600,-- (full-time, including all-in arrangement). Your actual salary will be based on your qualifications, experience, and individual fit for the role.
